Ware Presbyterian Village Auxiliary: Our Heritage

The Auxiliary of Ware Presbyterian Village can trace its history back to the 1920’s, when Presbyterian Homes, Inc. began an auxiliary to provide amenities that the Board of Trustees could not afford, such as tablecloths and napkins for residents. In 1977, bylaws were written for the then “Oxford Manor Auxiliary,” and some of our original members are still involved to this day.

The Auxiliary opened a gift shop, The Gift Box, in 2005, and in 2007, the New To You (NTY) Thrift Shop was established. The NTY has grown over the years to become our most successful fund raising project.

Nothing in our history would have been possible without the many dedicated members. We look forward to helping to provide for the needs of residents of Ware Presbyterian Village for many years to come.
